Manhattan Vintage Show

For the weekend of February 1-2, 2019 Manhattan Vintage Show was hosted at the Metropolitan Pavilion on west 18th street in New York City. The event included over 80 vintage vendors from around the country. There were vintage fashion illustrations, thrift store treasures, vintage fabrics, and of course vintage clothing!

For the event I made McCall's pattern #M7542 (#MP318) view D using vintage fabric that I inherited from my grandma. The fabric is a bright orange corduroy flower print from straight from the 70s.

What I liked about this pattern is the option for different cup sizes in addition to the fun ruffle sleeves! I decided to cut out four ruffle pattern pieces and sew two and two together and under-stitch in order to create a nice clean look. The pattern is unlined and includes a front and back neck facing with a center back keyhole.

Check out the photos below!

The next show will be April 5-6, 2019. Be sure to mark your calendars!
