For my 27th birthday this year, I spent it sipping on wine at Wolffer Estate in East Hampton, NY. It was such a fun time - and to celebrate I made a dress using Simplicity S9012; a Cynthia Rowley gathered tent dress.
The fabric was purchased from Mood - it is the Black and White Floral Polyester Woven fabric, and let me tell you - it is a dream. The fabric has a lightweight handfeel and a silky smooth textured surface.
The pattern is drafted to have a 1/4" elastic threaded through bias binding around the neckline and sleeves. I thought this would be too heavy for the fabric and frankly too much work. So instead I opted to use black elastic thread.
