This week I am making McCalls M8029, a misses cape with belt. I decided to branch out of my cotton dresses and get ahead of the fall weather.
I used a gorgeous Boiled Wool Fabric in Dark Petrol from Minerva.com. The fabric has a swirled texture which creates a 3D dimension.
The cape tutorial is super simple and only has a few pattern pieces. However, you can follow along with my YouTube Sew-Along video.
The pattern needs no trims or notions other than interfacing - all you need is a few yards of fabric. It also has raw edges along the neckline, belt, and hem.
